How to make a Sew Easy Guide Baby

If the guide feels like it is too long for your particular project and is making things awkward, the guide can be easily shortened. Simply cut the guide to your desired length, and use the guide's original rounded end to trace and cut a new rounded end. Do not cut off the needle hole end of the guide. Shortening a guide should be considered a permanent step. Shortening a guide is particularly useful if you only use the guide for scant 1/4" seams.

Why scant 1/4" seams are better/more accurate than exact 1/4" seams for quilt blocks.
